What I Wore: Backless

Jeans, KappAhl; shirt, Seduction; bandeau, made from an old pair of tights; shoes, Indigo by Clarks

I wore this outfit last Thursday, but I only got around to posting it today. Looking back, I would have rolled the cuffs like I did yesterday, but I still love the outfit. I bought this shirt over the summer and I hadn't worn it yet. I can't believe it took me that long to wear it though, I absolutely love it!

I definitely want to get more tops with open backs, I could never figure out how to wear them but I'm starting to think that open backs with contrasting or matching bandeaus, I think I could make it a sort of signature. I don't know if I could be consistent enough to have a true signature look, but I think what I'm trying to say is that this is definitely a look I could welcome into my wardrobe.

Thoughts? Requests?

Love, Rosie

  1. I have to say that the backless is very beautiful. Perhaps you should try one backless dress too!

  2. I bought a few backless pieces over time, but never got around to getting much use out of them. I always felt a bit exposed. The bandeaus are a great idea!

  5. Sex-ay! I like how a bandeau in a matching colour transforms the shape of the cutout in the back.

When I have backless or low-back pieces I tend to wear them with crisscross bra straps that form an X in the back. I don't know why, I just like the look of that more than parallel bra straps. I also try to choose a bra with a mesh or lace back so it looks pretty and not overly utilitarian.

  11. backless is SO much sexier than a deep v. on a mission for the perfect backless summer dress. And the guts to wear it. And the bra to wear it with (though I don't really need it....)
