In other news, I have been really obsessed with Ke$ha lately, especially her song Take It Off. And because this is my blog and I think that everyone should listen to it, I'm going to post it here :P I'm a generally hyperactive and happy person, but I sometimes need a little boost in the mornings, and this song is perfect for dancing around while you get ready.

Happy Happy Award

I am usually very punctual. I get stuff done on time, don't miss appointments, I get home when I say I will. But when I'm late, I'm really late. I like to be extreme :P. 

Anyways, way back ages ago, towards the beginning of February the lovely Fashion Court gave me the Happy 101 award.

When given the award, the recipient must list ten things that make them happy and pass the award on to ten other bloggers.

So, ten things that make me happy:
1. Two words: March Break.
2. Haircut tomorrow. I'm sort of considering something dramatic.
3. I have cream cheese. That may seem strange, but it means I can make cream cheese icing tomorrow.
4. I spent all day watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which pretty much equates to a day well spent.
5. I'm looking at the glow in the dark fish painting on the wall. It's pretty awesome.
6. Um, wood stoves make my feet warm :)
7. Life is good :)
8. I have a smiley addiction. But spreading happiness is a good thing!
9. My train of thought isn't so much of a train as a web.
10. I have now spun around so many times (in my own brain) that I have reached a state of extreme confusion. I quite like it.

A few days ago, the lovely Daria and Willow of Pigtails and Blushing Cheeks tagged me to share 12 likes, 1 love and 8 hates. So, here goes:

I like snow days, candy canes, down filled slippers, watching Bones, daydreaming, having people ask me what university I'm at (since I'm still in high school), discovering new interests, learning new skills, meeting new people, alphabetizing anything and everything, going to bed, my skull and cross bones earbuds.

I love that no matter how down I get, I have amazing friends who can make me smile.

I hate getting up early, having my parents go out of their way to pick me up, living in the middle of nowhere, never having enough time, not being able to stick with anything, no knowing what career I want to pursue, not being in control of my life, making mistakes.

High School Sucks, Blogging is Good

Today was a bad day. I realized that most of my friends seem to be trying to push me away, and that I don't get other people my age, or other people in general. Then I remember that the wonderful Intrinsically Florrie passed an award my way this morning, and I was smiling through the tears. Thank you!

So, since you asked, seven things about me:

1. I am obsessive about moisturizing my hands before bed.
2. Despite me being obsessed with having presentable, nice hands, my nails are often a mess, since I never have time to cut, file and paint properly.
3. I sort of wish I could play a musical instrument. I have negative skills when it comes to music though, and avoid singing/touching musical instruments like the plague. The only thing I can play is an iPod.
4. I am insanely brand loyal when it comes to Apple. Insanely. I staunchly refuse to buy any other type of computer.
5. I want to get a tattoo. I don't know when, or why, but someday, something will happen that will be significant enough to be marked permanently on my skin.
6. I lack persistence. I will throw myself into something, but quickly lose interest.
7. Because of that, I am proud of how long I have stuck with blogging. 9 months may not be that long to some people, but for me to be consistently interested in and devoted to something for that long is impressive.

My Favorite Sport is a Science Competition

I just received an award from the wonderful Hanako66 of Through the Looking Glass, thanks so much!

As a part of the award, I have to post six things that make me happy today, so:

1. I just bought the new Green Day album, 21st Century Breakdown, and I absolutely adore it.

2. I got new tights the other day, and I can't wait to wear them.

3. I am leaving on vacation in two days time, and I am super excited for that.

4. I went to bed early and slept in later than usual, so I am feeling really well rested.

5. I have devised an awesome playlist for the several hour drive to the airport. It includes: La Roux, Green Day, Nickelback, Ladyhawke, Queen, David Bowie, and Cheap Trick. I will be putting some AC/DC in it too, if I can find some before I leave.

6. It is only 3 weeks till school starts again, which means back to school shopping. And, once school starts, my favorite sport starts up, Envirothon. (Envirothon is an environmental science competition, and so much fun. Better still, all of my closest friends are either on my school team, or, in the case of one of my friends, too old and a volunteer.)

Yet Another Ten Things and an Exciting Announcement

Mega thanks to the Fabulous Girl, who gave me this wonderful award a week or so back. The award included sharing ten things about myself.

1. I love decorating and re-organizing house, apartments, or bedrooms. Basically anywhere I can.

2. I tend to gravitate towards older people. Not like seniors, but my friends are almost all at least a year, if not several years, older than me.

3. I am a control freak. I start yelling if someone puts something away in the wrong place.

4. I am an oldest child, although I wish I was an onl

y child.

5. I have an infatuation with anything black leather.

6. I am an avid Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan.

7. Of the characters on the show, I would say I am most like Willow. My style is very different though.

8. My favorite male character is Spike, with Oz and Giles fighting for second.

9. I have an insane memory, which often creeps people out.

10. I can't sleep until I have flossed my teeth and brushed. I can sleep in contacts, with makeup on, hair still styled, but I simply cannot sleep until I have done my tooth routine.

The second item on the agenda today is an announcement. One of my very close friends has just started a blog, and you should all check it out! Her blog isn't a fashion blog, simply a blog about life. You can find it at The Life of the Amazing Jessica Bo Bessica. Jessica is a kind, funny and, as the name states, generally awesome person, and I am sure that whatever she decides to post it will be both hilarious and informing. A hint at how cool she is: her most used phrase is "but not in a sexual way!"

Ten Things About me, and a "Prom" Photo

A while back, I was tagged by the awesome Frock Around the Clock to post ten things about me, so here goes:

1. I like vegetables. Spinach, peas, turnip mashed with carrot, I love them all.
2. I spent most of my life disliking my father's mother, but recently grew to really like her.
3. Despite loving black clothing, bats, and doc martens, I am playful and giddy a lot of the time.
4. I am incredibly vain, but only on the surface. I guess you knew that though, since I write a personal style blog, and that requires self-centeredness.
5. I am a huge nerd. I worked at a science camp this week, partly because i like money, but mostly because I miss going to science camp.
6. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I was the only person at the midnight showing to turn up in costume.
7. Aesthetically, in a guy, I like either somewhat feminine features, bad boy style, or unique style.
8. I cannot stand guys who don't get fashion. I once had a guy ask why I was wearing heels at school, the answer: because I like them.
9. I try to put on a tough outside, but inside I am extremely fragile.
10. In sixth grade, my class put on a production of The Little Prince, and I was the rose. I was silly and thought bright green eyeshadow would look good with bright red lipstick.

Also a while back, Hanako66 of Through the Looking Glass tagged anyone who wanted to be tagged to post their prom outfit. Well, I haven't graduated yet, but I have a dress from my middle school graduation, so I thought I would share.

The first picture is me wearing the dress for the dance, with Aldo heels, and some old bangles. A note: I made this dress myself. The second photo is me wearing the dress to a holiday party, with the heels from the first picture. The third picture is me wearing the dress to a math competition. I got a lot of strange looks, but hey, whatever! I also wore this dress with my Rampage heels(seen in the third photo), with heavy eyeliner for a fancy birthday party for my Grandfather, but sadly no photo.
