Don't Fear Ridicule

If you've ever done any acting, you've probably been told "Don't fear ridicule".

And guess what? You should listen. Because what other people think doesn't matter anymore, there are so many more options open when it comes to clothing.

Been wanting to try a different colour combination? Want to wear a funky hat? Become a gothic hippy?

Go for it!

You will have people stare. But most of them are staring because they wish they were brave enough to wear what they want too. You will get negative comments. But for every troll you encounter, there are probably ten people who love what you are wearing, whether they tell you or not.

Have you ever decided not to wear something because of what people would say?

Love, Rosie

  7. This is so true! I always used to worry about people staring at my outfit- now i really don't care. Also, if you have the confidence you can wear anything! great picture!! xxx

  9. I don't usually have this problem since I tend to go for neutrals, monochromatic clothing. But I love seeing something completely unexpected in someone else's outfit! I think the people that ridicule ( and don't appreciate self expression) are boring and insecure! If dressing a certain way is not your cup of tea, so be it. But don't knock someone else's taste!

  10. I think it gets easier once you leave high school. I found high school to be one of the most narrow-minded environments I've ever been in, especially since if you deviate from the acceptable retailers/brands/outfits of the herd you'll get ridiculed. Now I can wear swear rings or fancy dresses to work and nobody bats an eye.

  11. Absolutely, Go for it! Life's too short to be taken too seriously, and if we worry to much about others, we'll end up with little fun.
