What I Wore: Learning Layering

I want to apologize for the terrible posts lately. I don't want to make excuses, but I've been pretty busy, so I just haven't had time for much more than filler posts. I think things may ease up a bit now, so I'm going to try and do a photo shoot at some point and do an actual outfit post, and then maybe do a tutorial or something. If you have anything you would like me to write about, please let me know.

Anyways, I wasn't going to post today's outfit since it was kinda boring, but I thought I would share a detail shot of my shirts.
This black shirt may be one of my favourite shirts. In reality it's darker between the opaque bits, but I love it. The first time I wore it, I was wearing a mustard yellow tube top underneath, and it looked great, I plan on wearing that combination again soon to show you guys.

I have always admired people who master layering, and I think this piece will help me learn the art. It really takes a shirt from slightly mediocre to sort of funky.

Thoughts? Requests?

Love, Rosie

  1. i could definitely see that working with mustard yellow. :) and layering is also very practical for winter, may i add...

  2. Looking forward to seeing it in a outfit post later.=)

  3. I second the mustard yellow! gray or black too. I find that layering works well if you have one or two article of clothing with color and the rest sort of dull to neutralize it.

  4. love that pattern. i am HORRIBLE at layering (well, just the basics i'm okay with ;p)

  5. Beautiful pattern, Rosie! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  6. I know how busy you're, sweetie.
That's okay as long as you're healthy and happy.
    Take care!
