Mega Volume: life and mascara

Life in Rosieland has been pretty much insane lately, I've been so busy with theatre that I've barely been able to keep up with my homework, and forget about actually having interest. The result of all this is that I pretty much haven't had time to blog over the past week, and next week will be worse. It's not that I want to push TtW to the side, it's just that real* people and real commitments have to come first sometimes.

In other news, I bought Covergirl's LashBlast mega volume mascara in black brown today, and I love it. My only problem is that it's a lot closer to black than brown, but that's fine. Ok, I have a second problem, but it's not with the product. I don't really like the package. It's big and chunky and bright orange. I much prefer Maybelline's Lash Stiletto for packaging, but the actual mascara isn't as nice, in my opinion.

Thoughts? Requests?

Love, Rosie

*Not that you all aren't real, it's just that I have sort of two lives: my online life, and my "real"life, with people I have met in person.

  4. skater boy by avril lavigne reminds me of the tv channel SMASH HITS where you could vote for the music videos they played, except for a while the only music videos they had were kiss kiss by holly valance and wherever you will go by the calling. both these songs fill me with nostalgia these days.
you look really pretty in that photo! and i hate make-up with ridiculous packaging too... just gimme the product!

  10. Lash Blast is a great drugstore mascara; very reasonable considering that of all the mascaras I've tried so far it outperforms premium mascaras that cost 2-3 times as much! I definitely agree the packaging is excessive, though. When I used it I always felt guilty tossing out such a thick plastic tube after 3-4 months.

  11. Never apologize for putting real life first, it should come first. I'm glad you are enjoying theater, being involved in a big production is such a rewarding experience.
I use the same mascara, its so nice because it doesn't smudge. I agree that the packaging isn't very classy though.

  16. real life definitely comes first, so hope you're tackling things well :) love the orange packaging and the mascara is ok, just i found it abit hard to grip the chunky roundness of the applicator at times.
