What I Wore: Giant Blanket

Jeans, Gap, thrifted; button down shirt, Smart Set, thifted; wrap, ???, my parents got it in Scotland; brooch, Heather Gem; shoes, not shown, Fly London

I really love this wrap. It's made out of super soft wool, and feels pretty much like wearing a blanket all day. As you might have guessed though, wearing a blanket all day is really bloody annoying. There are far too many things that are made difficult, such as reaching around for books, walking, carrying books, wearing a coat, the list continues.

It's so wonderful that I can't resist wearing it from time to time though, and since I wanted to spend all day curled up in bed, I figured today would be a good day. I loved most of this outfit, but I'm not sure about the whole. I felt kind of like a teacher, and while that isn't a bad thing, it's not necessarily a good thing either. It just felt too... average. All of the pieces in the outfit are lovely, but together they didn't really work for me.

What do you wear when you feel sick?

Love,
Rosie

  1. I personally love it! On my sick days, I wear sweat pants...that's about it. You look very chic for being sick too, my dear!

  3. I totally love the duvet feel of capes, but as you say there are some problems... how to carry a bag, for example.

  7. That looks so cosy! When I'm feeling ill I throw on this really hideous fleecy nightie that my Nan bought me one Christmas and I swore I'd never wear.. it's got multicoloured hearts all over it and if anyone saw me in it I would be MORTIFIED. I started wearing it on sick days and now sometimes it comes out if it is particularly cold.. and at the moment I find myself letting the dog out at 7am wearing it with wellies.. attractive!

    Merry Christmas! :) x

  8. Nothing wrong with spending all day curled up in bed :o)). I fantasize about doing that all the time, unfortunately somehow life gets in the way and there's always some pressing matter urging me to get out from under the covers. Anyway, you look gorgeous, Rosie!! Big kiss!

  14. It's refreshing to see someone say that they didn't like what they were wearing. When I'm sick I usually just wear a long top/dress and keep it all very low key.
